Save Noise Files?

• Options: Off or On.

• Default: Off.

Sets whether Noise files are discarded or stored with the rest of the recordings.

If Save Noise Files? is enabled, and if a triggered recording does not appear to contain any bats, it will be saved. Otherwise, the file will be discarded. The process of deleting files that do not appear to contain bat calls is referred to as scrubbing the noise.

Noise-Scrubbing Parameters

The parameters that define which recordings get scrubbed (removed) by the Song Meter Mini Bat 2 are recorded in the metadata of each recording (see GUANO Metadata Fields).

When Save Noise Files? is disabled, the Song Meter Mini Bat 2 checks for recordings that contain at least two pulses that contain components above the Minimum Trigger Frequency and are at least 1.5 milliseconds in length, each.
