You must use the free Song Meter Configurator mobile app to set the recorder's clock before beginning a deployment. After the mobile app is installed, you do not need active cell service in order to use the app with the recorder.
Some functions can be performed using either the mobile app or the recorder's physical buttons, such as importing a configuration file or updating the firmware.
