Licensed in Biology at Biological Sciences institute at the Catholic University of Salvador (UCSAL), Bahia, Brazil in 1995, has a diploma in Endangered Species Management at the University of Kent and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust (DWCT) and sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 1998 in Jersey, Channel Islands, United Kingdom. Has specialization courses in Sustainable Tourism, Environmental Management and Environmental Education in 1994, 1997 and 1999, respectively, at the UCSAL. Has become in 2004 a Master in Science at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), on the research course on Ecology and Biomonitoring, and in 2006 has participated of the Amphibian Biology Conservation course at the DWCT, Jersey . Ph.D. course in Conservation Biology, with emphasis on Biodiversity Management of the Durrell Institute for Conservation Ecology at the University of Kent at Canterbury, England, United Kingdom. Currently is an Adjunct Lecturer at the undergraduate and graduate program at the UCSAL Biology and Environmental Management courses, coordinator of the Animal Ecology and Conservation Centre at the same institution and is listed via this institution as Latin American partner of the Amphibian Ark/UICN. Works as a consultant and technical advisor for the Lacerta environmental consultancy . Specialist in Conservation Biology with emphasis in Ecology, Zoology, acting in projects involving applied ecology and modelling in: Species Occupancy and Detection, AIC Based models, GLM and GLMM, Maxent, Maxlike, Mark-Recapture, Distance Sampling, Presence, R, SDR, PC-Ord, SPSS, Vortex; management and monitoring of the biota, herpetology, zoogeography, environmental diagnosis, ArcGIS , ArcMap, capitive management of fauna, degradated areas restoration, recovery and management of wildlife populations, population dynamics, planning and creation of protected areas.
