Faunatech Professional Spotlighting Equipment The "SPOT-ON" waistbelt model powerpack Faunatech is proud to release our new waistbelt model spotlighting powerpack. So happy are we with the overall performance and comfort of the new model, that we elected to name it the "Spot-On" model powerpack. In designing a replacement for our original backpack design (now in production for over 10 years) we aimed to greatly improve ergonomics and practicality, while retaining the large battery capacity and toughness of the original product. This new model exceeds our objectives, being very comfortable to wear for spotlight sessions of several hours at a time. Most of the weight of the high capacity (20 amphour) battery is transferred through the fully padded waistbelt (which would do justice to a full size hiking rucksack!), while broad shoulder straps provide stability. In addition, the new model is far easier to connect to the hand-held spotlight while wearing the powerpack, as the socket is located on the waist-belt, right at your hip. Increased foam padding and heavy duty cordura provide superior battery protection when the going gets tough. A quickly accessible fuse is fitted, along with pockets for spares, charging instructions, survival kit and water bottle. You can even sling a lightweight raincoat under the rear panel. Our ergonomic handheld spotlight is generally supplied with a 55 watt halogen bulb, though 100 watt bulbs are available (but not generally recommended). Charging is foolproof via either of our regulated and polarised chargers. We will shortly be releasing a custom charge meter to further simplify charge maintenance. Also under development we have a vehicle charging adaptor for our powerpacks.
