Call Playback Megaphones The broadcasting of animal vocalisations is an efficient and effective survey method for many animal groups, in particular the Owls. Faunatech modifies and supplies quality Toa megaphone kits specifically for this purpose. We offer two sizes: our standard 15 watt (23 W max) unit measures 210 X 290 X 320 mm (diameter X length X height) at 970 grams. Our mini 6 watt megaphone (10 W max) measures 160 X 256 X 260 mm at 620 grams. Systems are supplied with either a miniature cassette player, cassette recorder, or compact disc player. We prefer to hard wire the signal lead to the player (for field robustness), though we can provide a stand alone adaptor lead.
